The Dells Area Cyclists’ mission is to promote good health and family participation through bicycle rides.  Our fundraiser, the Tour de Dells 2007, will be held May 5th, 2007. When you participate in and/or donate to the Tour de Dells 2007, your money will go to such charities as the University of Wisconsin Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Haiti Medical Mission of Wisconsin, and the local Spring Hill Middle School.

When you contribute to the University of Wisconsin Comprehensive Cancer Center you help this organization remain a leader in innovative research initiatives, compassionate cancer care and education for the public and health care professionals. Gifts made to the cancer research programs enable their researchers to develop better methods of diagnosing, treating, and preventing cancer. TheHaiti Medical Mission of Wisconsin’s goal is to send local health care professionals from St. Clare Hospital and surrounding health care centers to Thiotte, Haiti to provide free health care to the people of this poverty stricken nation. In the United States, there is a physician for every 400-500 people. In Thiotte, a village of 25,000 people, there is only one full-time Haitian nurse funded by the Haiti Medical Mission of Wisconsin.  Also, the local Spring Hill Middle School will receive funds to update their school’s nature trail possibly adding seating areas for classroom learning.
